Empowering Youth, Preventing Gambling.

Welcome to Safeling project! We're glad you found us!

Safeling is all about giving young people fun, active alternatives to gambling. Every child deserves a safe and healthy future. Therefore, we are dedicated to help them to build skills and make safer choices. Whether you're a student, coach, teacher, or just curious, you'll find simple tools here to get started your journey to safe alternatives.

Safe Alternatives to Gambling Among Youth

Safeling is an Erasmus+ programme small-scale partnership in the field of Sport created to help young people stay safe from the risks of gambling by offering something much better - sport, learning, and community support. We believe that prevention should feel positive, practical, and fun, rather than heavy or full of warnings. That's why our approach mixes active play, short digital lessons, and local activities that bring people together.

Raise Awareness & Build Knowledge

We want to help young people understand how gambling works, why it can be risky, and how to make safer choices. Through videos, campaigns on social media, and interactive activities, we give young people the tools to recognize risks early and feel confident saying no.

Positive Alternatives Through Sport & Education

Safeling uses sport as a healthy, engaging alternative to gambling. Fun games and team activities show that excitement and connection don't have to come from betting. Our e-book help schools and sport and youth clubs to run activities that combine movement with learning.

Supportive Communities & Stronger Networks

We know that real change happens when young people feel supported. Safeling brings together teachers, coaches, parents, and community leaders to form networks that offer guidance and encouragement. We also train professionals so they can keep running these activities long after the project ends.

"Youth Gambling Prevention Education"

Safeling's approach isn't about saying, "Don't do it!" - it's about saying "here's something better". It is dedicated to promoting responsible practices among youth in Europe. Through our educational programs and resources, we strive to prevent the harmful effects of gambling addiction and promote healthy decision-making.

1. Youth-Focused Prevention Programs

Prevention programs are initiatives and interventions designed to reduce or eliminate the risk of potential problems or negative outcomes. These programs focus on promoting healthy behaviors, educating individuals and communities on potential risks and providing resources to support positive lifestyle choices. By addressing potential issues before they occur, prevention programs aim to improve overall well-being and quality of life for individuals and society as a whole. There are various types of prevention programs, including those related to health, substance abuse, violence, and mental health. These programs can

2. Educational resources

Educational resources are materials, tools, and information that are designed to support and enhance learning. Our resources include guide, workshops, online raising awareness features, educational videos, interactive activities, and more. They are created and curated by educators, experts, and organizations with the goal of providing youth with the knowledge and skills they need. These resources cover a wide range of subjects and topics.

3. Awareness campaigns

Our awareness campaign connects with young people in the spaces they use most - online and on the field. The campaign uses short, youth-friendly videos and social media content to spark interest and start conversations. Through YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, we share quick, relatable messages that among others highlight:

  • What gambling really looks like behind the flashy ads.

  • How to make safer choices when faced with risk.

  • Fun and healthy ways to spend time instead of gambling.

The campaign doesn't stop online, it also comes to life in the community. Local sports events, workshops, and pilot sessions are organised in each partner country. These gatherings show that prevention can be active, fun, and social, while also giving space for conversations about challenges and support.
